Step Out of Your Box and Let God Color Your World
May 16th, 2008
To all who helped with the events this past weekend, thank you so much. Our prayers are with the Dottie Rambo family as they go through this time of sorrow.
As I sit at my desk and look back at the past few months we can surely see God’s hand of blessing, protection, provision and faithfulness to us as a body. We are in exciting times as we enter the summer months here at Fountain of Life Church. With Vacation Bible School, FLC Carnival, Youth and Children’s camps, Promise Keeper’s Pastor’s Conference and that’s just to name a few, we are really moving around here.
Today we stand at the crossroads as we look into God’s Word of Proverbs 29:18 which proclaims, “where there is no vision people perish.” The vision God has given is BIG and now is the time for each one to step up to the plate and be faithful with time, talent, tithes and their prayer.
As I watched the news last night they were saying that starting in the fall the public schools will be offering a course about the Bible. More now than ever it is the Church’s responsibility to step up and do whatever we can to get this nation back to the Word of God. I’d love to hear your comments about what you think about Bible being taught in the schools.
To all who read this page let this be a summer of homeruns and always remember, here at Fountain of Life Church we are going places! I look forward to hearing your feed back. See you at The Link Café on Sunday!
Coloring your world,
Pastor Randy

I believe that God has opened a very important door to reach a generation of people who are growing up in a time such as America has never known. There is an aggressive movement with a very loud voice acting to remove God from every area of our lives and to openly percecute those who dare to stand up against it. God designed his plan of redemption based on freedom of choice. He forces no man to accept the gift of his son, Jesus Christ. God has always exemplified freedom of choice. He has never forced any choices on mankind. All choices have reprecutions, good and/or bad. The difference is that God’s reprecutions have an eternal effect. It means Heaven or Hell for all eternity. He longs that we choose him and grieves over every soul that does not. Just as we choose every day to obey the law of the land or pay the price. While many may do everything in their power to make you think that they are all about choice and freedom, they are not. God will allow you to choose even if it brakes his heart. Man will persecute you, vocally and physically, for you choice if it is different from theirs. Bible in school offers the opportunity for a loving God to continue to extend his offer of mercy and grace to a generation of Americans who are less churched than any of those before them. Jesus said that if he be lifted up he will draw all unto him. Oh, the POWER in the name of JESUS! Praise be to God for this victory.

I think it is great that there will be bible classes taught in school. I believe it will bring with it a wave of controversy and a potential for some non foundational teaching but at the same time it will bring a lot of attention and publicity. In addition it brings the potential for good foundational teaching as well.
I feel like we are poised for a break through in society today. We are under such attack in so many places we will have the opportunity to share Jesus with those whom have run out of other options.
Just my thoughts

Hello Pastor Randy, it’s your old friends Juan & Rhonda Ortiz!
I heard the news of you and Jos taking a position in this Texas Church? I’m sure you are a great blessing there. As you might already know, Rhon and I are now residing in Springfield, MO (Misery) as you use to call it!
Rhon and I now have two additions to our family (Isaiah & Noah) and they have been quite a blessing to us! We are attending a great Church where I work with the Youth and also involved as an Altar worker in our Church. Rhon works in the nursery where she helps out from time to time.
I’m sure you and your wife are a great blessing to your new congregation! Hope you’re enjoying that hot Texas weather!
Please feel free to stay in contact and let us know what else the Lord is doing in your lives.
We Love You!
Juan & Rhonda Ortiz
