In Pursuit of Holiness

GOT RAIN?

God requires us that we would be a holy people.  We have to be accountable for our lifestyles, conversations, and giftings.  People have tried to make it off their talents.  Talent is not enough. It is the anointing.  God is calling us to a higher level of accountability in our daily lives.  We must begin to critically review every area of our lives to insure that we are pleasing God.  Holiness is not only what you do in public but what you do in private as well.  God tells us in Hebrews 12:14 that without holiness no man shall see the face of God.  God is moving.  Will we go with him or be left behind?  We are all responsible to accurately teach God’s word.  Sometimes the only Jesus people see is the life we live before them.  This is a serious responsibility.

Fields are coming forth from you but remember the field can’t come forth without the rain.  In this season of preparation prepare yourself for a harvest.  For with rain comes work and with work comes responsibility and with responsibility comes accountability.  Be faithful with the little and he will bless you with much.  The seed that has been planted will come forth with rain.  My question for you this week is are you prepared for rain?  Got rain?  Act 3:19 declares that if we will repent from secret sins and turn back to God the times of refreshing and revitalization will come from the presence of the Lord.  There are certain things you will never receive unless you get it from his presence.

Eph. 4:29 says “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit all who listen.”

The scripture declares that our words are seeds waiting to be watered.  What you speak is what will manifest in your life.  What do you want your harvest to be?  Blessings or curses?

Eph. 5:3 says “But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality or any kind of impurity because these are improper for God’s holy people.”

Not only does God hold us accountable for our words but he requires holiness in our conduct and our behavior.  Not only is God a God of love but he requires obedience.

Eph.5:4-11 says “There should be no obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking which is out of place, but rather thanksgiving.  For of this you can be sure:  No immoral, impure or greedy person has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.  Because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient.  Therefore do not be partners with them.  Live as children of light.  Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.
